The 8th Newmarket Scout Group is sponsored by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 426.
An active part of the community, members participate in events such as the annual Remembrance Day and Santa Claus parades, clean-up days, food drives and more.
Beaver Scouts (ages 5 to 7) meet Wednesday evenings at Maple Leaf Public School.
Cub Scouts (ages 8 to 10) and Scouts (ages 11 to 14) also meet at Maple Leaf Public School, but on Thursdays.
Venturer Scouts (ages 14 to 17) develop their own schedule with the help of their Advisors.
Boys and girls enjoy crafts, games, camping and more while also learning responsibility, self-confidence, and a wide variety of skills. But most important of all, they have FUN!
